Conservative Judaism (also the Conservative Movement, Conservative congregations)

A theology midway between Reform and Orthodox Judaism. Conservative Judaism holds that the Torah has divine authority, but with both human and divine elements. In 1985, the US Conservative Movement began to ordain female rabbis. Jewish Theological Seminary in New York is affiliated with the Conservative Movement and ordains conservative rabbis.
