Purim spiels

 A common festival practice on the Jewish holiday of Purim, Purim spiels are comic plays centered around the events of the Book of Esther. In recent centuries, the plays have evolved to contain elements of parody and satire of popular culture to deliver religious messages, as the Purim spiels are often performed by or for children annually in Synagogues.
