Michael Hoberman
Dr. Michael Hoberman teaches American literature at Fitchburg State University. He is a graduate of Reed College and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His previous books include A Hundred Acres of America: The Geography of Jewish American Literary History and New Israel/New England: Jews and Puritans in Early America. Hoberman’s essays on Jewish American culture appear in Tablet Magazine. Currently, he is working on a book entitled Imagining Early American Jews, which explores the popular legacy of Jewish life in America up to the time of the Civil War.
