machzor (High Holiday prayer book)

Meaning “cycle” in Hebrew, a machzor is a Jewish prayer book specialized for use on yom tov (festivals) of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. There are also machzorim for the pilgrimage festivals (Shavuot, Passover, Sukkot).
