Mexican Inquisition

 An extension of the Spanish Inquisition into Spain’s mesoamerican colonies, the Mexican Inquisition operated in much the same way as the former in Iberia (especially regarding the persecution of Jews and Judaizers) with the additional role of converting indigenous populations to Catholicism.
